Just did some heavy rewriting of Chapter 2, in which
one of our heroes saves another of our heroes from certain death and some other cool stuff happens.
And the heavy rewriting was very needed. I apologize to any of you who read it in its last state. It was really more of a blue pencil sketch than anything.
This part of the process is fun to me because I’m still introducing the world to the reader. There’s jeopardy, but I know they don’t care about these characters like they’re going to. There’s explanation, but it’s tempered with characterization and action. The last three times I tried writing this “book,” I got really bored with it.
Now it’s like I’m too excited to stop.
(And I know I’m bragging about rewriting Chapter 2 and not Chapter 20-whatever but I’m doing a good job getting the information in where it needs to be. I want to unfold the world gradually, and that seems to be something that might be tough for me. I either want to give it to you all now or not give it to you at all until you need to know a particular bit. Now that I know all of it, however…)
